Sara Cohen gained hands on experience working with babies, as a night doula, for many years. She combined baby care with training in pediatric sleep and early childhood education to build the skills needed for sleep consulting, Sara Cohen has supported a diverse range of families and helped them reach their goals to improve naps, night wean and/or get their babies sleeping through the night.
Sara offers consultations on family and child sleep, parental coping techniques, early childhood development, toddler/preschool/school age positive reinforcement techniques as well as, birth and postpartum care including sleep training and night doula support. Robert Solley is a couples therapist and neuropsychologist working out of the Getzwell Pediatrics office. Dr. Solley specializes in working with new parents and offers premarital counseling. Emily Schaffer, PCD (DONA)
Emily received her B.A. in Holistic Health with an emphasis on the Spanish Language at Prescott College in Arizona. She continued her studies to become a certified Postpartum Doula through Doulas of North America. She holds a credential as a Happiest Baby on the Block Educator and a Baby Signs Educator (sign language for babies). Emily is a member of DONA International, La Leche League, Marin, San Francisco and East Bay doula groups. She has worked professionally as a nanny, personal assistant and household manager for 18 years.
Emily currently works as a Certified Postpartum Doula, committed to help parents have an easy transition into parenthood and by supporting them with informed decision-making. Emily offers private newborn care, breastfeeding counseling, sleep consultations, nursery preparation and nanny training. She also teaches Happiest Baby on the Block method classes. Emily currently lives in her native town of Mill Valley, CA and works with families in the greater San Francisco, Bay area.
